Right-to-Repair Issues Continue to Affect e-Scrap Industry

Recyclers are learning that manufacturer-imposed restrictions on repair also blocks recyclers from engaging in resale of functional machines and harvesting parts for reuse markets.   Right to Repair requires access to information, tools, service documentation, firmware and service parts that are needed to reuse equipment rather than break it down for raw materials.  We are all fighting to give consumers the option to keep their things in use and out of the waste stream, at least for a little longer.
